This was the first group video production project that I worked on. Everyone in my group, Anggun, Iffa, Leila, Mardhiah and myself, had our own roles. We were challenged to come up with a narrative story that is compelling, has a hook, and is unique.
And that was what we did.
Our Approach: The Malay Stereotype and Malay Culture
We leveraged on the fact that all of us are of the same race–we wanted to put a spin and our own retelling on a stereotype that is talked about related to our culture, which are, Arranged Marriages.
We wanted to stand out among our classmates and do something that challenged everyone's idea.
